Checking a Broker and the Brokerage Contract
What an owner, buyer or tenant should check before engaging a real estate agency: entry in the Register of Brokers, the content of the written contract, when the commission is due, the exclusivity clause, termination and who to turn to (Law on Mediation in Real Estate Transactions and Leasing, Official Gazette 89/2025).

Stanovina.me — official portal of licensed realtors
Stanovina.me is the official portal of licensed real estate agents in Montenegro: sale, purchase and rental of apartments, houses and land. Listings are published only by agents entered in the Register of Brokers. The portal advertises the offers on the internet and on social networks, so it is an extra sales and rental channel for agents and property owners.
Open Stanovina.meOnly a company or sole proprietor with its seat in Montenegro that is entered in the Register of Brokers may carry out brokerage (Art. 3). The Register is a public electronic database with the name, address, tax ID, number and date of the registration decision, names of agents with the number of their exam certificate, and the address of the premises (Art. 11). No public search of the Register has been published on the Ministry's website so far (checked in October 2026), so anyone interested may request an extract from the Register. The Ministry issues it within 3 days of a complete request (Art. 12) on Form IRP (Rulebook, Official Gazette 131/2026), which shows the number and date of entry and of the decision, business name, activity, address, tax ID, company ID, contact details, agents and any protective measures imposed.
